As part of the WHO’s global annual program, the World Hand Hygiene Day – Clean Yours Hands – Stop The spread of Drug-resistant Germs, on the 5th of May you are free to join a conference held by Prof. Didier Pittet, the director of the Infection Control Programme at University Hospital of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland and WHO Collaborating Centre on Patient Safety.
Objectives of the conference are to

- Describe the WHO global surveys on multi-drug resistance organisms and surgical antibiotic prophylaxis
- Outline the role of hand hygiene in preventing MDRO infections
